Thank you for your interest in the American Retirement Institute (“ARI”). As part of the ARI program, I understand that I am responsible for the following areas:
PRE-TRAINING
I, as a Financial Educator, understand I am required to watch both the day #1 and day #2 (if applicable) Workbook Training videos. These videos are found on www.impactpartneronline.com (Advisor Resources).
EXPECTATIONS OF FINANCIAL EDUCATOR
I, as a Financial Educator, am prohibited from discussing any topics regarding investment liquidations and securities products or services unless I am properly securities licensed. The Financial Educator must also avoid promoting or offering any products or services for sale during the course(s). The course must remain purely educational. Not complying could result in termination from the ARI program. In short, selling any life insurance policy, fixed index annuity, securities products or services at ARI courses is prohibited.
Additionally, Financial Educators must identify themselves as licensed insurance professionals, Investment Advisor Representatives (if applicable) and Registered Representatives (if applicable) at the beginning of each course - these are state statute-enforced requirements.
BRAND MARKETING
I, as a Financial Educator, will follow ARI brand guidelines regarding the marketing of the course to the public. I will not create any ARI advertising or marketing materials on my own. I will not use any ARI advertising or materials that were not provided to me by ARI.
COMPLIANCE/OUTSIDE BUSINESS ACTIVITY
Typically, programs like ARI may be considered an outside business activity to Broker Dealers and /or Registered Investment Advisor firms. Therefore, the Financial Educator should consider seeking pre-approval from their respective Broker-Dealer and/or Registered Investment Advisor prior to participating in the ARI program. ARI will not be responsible for any compliance issues that occur before, during, or after the ARI program. If you have questions regarding disclosable events, please contact your respective Broker-Dealer and/or Registered Investment Advisor firm’s Compliance Department.
BOOKS & RECORDS
I understand that ARI program materials are deemed advertising by my respective State’s Division of Securities, the Securities Exchange Commission, FINRA, and the Department of Insurance. With that understanding, I acknowledge that I am aware of my regulatory Books and Records requirements and agree to maintain my own business records in accordance with each regulatory authority’s applicable rules and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to, all paper and digital ARI program marketing materials, e.g., all social media, email, direct mail, websites, Facebook campaigns, workbook material, PowerPoints, pamphlets, and radio spots. If needed, I will seek the services of third-party vendors whose software solutions meeting each regulatory authority’s applicable rules and regulations in regard to electronic storage (depository) of Books and Records.
FINANCIAL LAB TRANSITION
I will ensure that clients interested in scheduling an appointment with me will know they are doing so with my financial practice and not ARI. I understand ARI does not set appointments for financial labs – my financial practice does.
